About us

From idea to action: The story behind IFMHD.

The concept of IFMHD was founded by paternal postpartum depression campaigner Mark Williams and fatherhood mental health expert and PSI board member Dr Daniel Singley. They recognised that fathers are often overlooked in mental health discussions, even though they face many of the same challenges as mothers, including depression, anxiety, and other mental health issues.

IFMHD started in the UK in 2016 to change policies worldwide. In 2017, Dr Singley brought it to the international level with his expertise in this area.

Meet the minds behind the movement

We are a group of advocates, researchers and leaders in the field of perinatal mental health who are passionate about making real change.
